Extended Spring Break + Move to Online instruction 3.30

Dear Students, Faculty, Staff and Visitors

NMSU is currently under an extended Spring Break and will return to on-line instruction on Monday, March 30th. The faculty are currently transitioning their courses to on-line with creativity and innovation. Join us then for the revisioning of your courses. To Students enrolled in Art classes:

In response to the current pandemic, the Studio Art faculty are transitioning their course work to fully on-line curricula in order to protect the health and safety of students, faculty, staff and our families. Your course syllabi will be updated to reflect the new assignments, extended deadlines and other resources to assist with successful completion of the courses. Your existing course projects, tools and materials will be safe in the building and held for your retrieval when the campus reopens. Coursework done to date will be graded within an understanding of the current situation, you do not need to return to the studio to complete anything at this time. If you have extenuating circumstances which necessitate collecting projects or materials, please contact your teacher who will work with me on assessing and facilitating retrieval. Card swipe access to Devasthali Hall has been turned off, and the building is locked, so there is no access to the studios.

Please stay in active touch with your faculty and let them know whether you have computer or Wi-Fi access difficulties, this seems to be the greatest challenge our students are facing. Also let you teacher know if you become ill. We wish to do all we can to facility your health and successful completion of your courses.

Temporary Access to Adobe Creative Cloud desktop Apps for the NMSU Community is now available until May 31.

As a result of NMSU going online or working remotely to stem the Coronavirus spread, access to Adobe Creative Cloud in labs and classrooms is limited. Adobe has provided temporary at-home access for impacted students, faculty, and staff, so that they can continue to do their work remotely. The temporary access begins today and will last until May 31st. Please follow the instructions below to enable access to Creative Cloud Desktop Apps on your personal device.

1. Visit https://creativecloud.adobe.com and use your NMSU username and password to sign in.

2. If prompted, select Company or School Account and then enter your password an provide your credentials in the NMSU login screen.

3. From the Creative Cloud website, browse for and download your desired app. Click Apps on the top of the page to view all apps.
