 NMSU Art Open Studios November 5th

Join us for the New Mexico State University Department of Art Open Studios! This event focuses on opening our doors to the community to highlight the amazing work that the current students of the Department of Art are creating. The event will be held on Saturday, November 5th from 10:00 am-5:00 pm, as an all-day event filled with workshops, art sales by students and art clubs, pop-up shows and much more! 

 
Workshop Schedule: Open to all ages, first come first serve!

Laser Cut Sun Catchers with Ashley Diane Saldana, 11:00-12:00
Copper Stamped Keychains with Gus Ramirez and Johanna Typaldos, 12:00-1:00
Instax Film Portraits with Yashoda Latkar, 2:00-3:00

OutsmART Ex-Voto Collage Workshop with El Paso artist Bella Maria Varela, 1:00-2:00
This workshop is related to the current exhibition Contemporary Ex-Votos: Devotion Beyond Medium. Students will learn about historic ex-votos, contemporary Latinx artists, and important themes of the exhibition. Students will create digital collages. These will then be highlighted on the museum's social media platforms. 
 
All programming will be held at the New Mexico State University Department of Art building, Devasthali hall at 1308 E University Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88003.
