Senior Designs CURCA Logo

Senior Designs CURCA Logo
Senior student Antonio Freire-Gutierrez has designed the logo for the new Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (CURCA) in the Honors college! This concept evolved from this year's URCAS competition in the advanced graphic design class.

Concept from Antonio:
"The CURCA logo demonstrates the different disciplines found inside New Mexico State University. The leaf represents the rich and unique biodiversity, the pot represents the Fine Arts and culture, and the dotted graph represents the endless business opportunities. Additionally, the rocket is in honor of the spaceport near Las Cruces, which honors the Applied Sciences; the hand represents HEST, which values education, healthcare, and equality. Lastly, the comedy and tragedy masks represent the large movie industry, all of which can be found in New Mexico."
