The NMSU Department of Art announces the upcoming BFA Exhibit, Abnormalities featuring Bachelor of Fine Art students, Dylan Overheim and Jessica Clarke. In lieu of a museum setting, we invite you to attend the ZOOM opening reception on December 9, 2020, from 6 – 9 pm. You’ll have the opportunity to ask the artists questions and see their artwork. Dylan Overheim will be presenting a body of work that “encapsulates the hidden uncertainty, over stimulus, and uneasiness in anxiety” through his images, brush work and abstraction of forms using various sculptural techniques.
Jessica Clarke’s artworks explore genetic commonalities found throughout her family and her awareness that these traits are shared by many different people from a range of backgrounds. She brings the viewer’s awareness to the trait through her enlarged isolation of the area and rendering of the forms.
