MFA Candidate, Alex Nipper Receives Scholarships for 2020-2021

Congratulations go out to Alex Nipper, who will be finishing up his last year of the MFA 3-yr. studio program. He was just recently notified he’ll be starting the year with a welcoming news, receiving the Vivien B. Head Scholarship and the the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Graduate Award. “With the money I have received from the Viven B. and George A. Head Scholarship and the Outstanding Graduate Award, I plan to use the money for not only tuition purposes, but also continue my research and experimentation with the various equipment our department has in our digital fabrication lab. My knowledge and experience with these technologies have grown exponentially since coming into the graduate program here at NMSU and I hope to continue to expand it even further into other mediums. I also hope that it will lead to a very promising career for me in a field that utilizes this kind of equipment in the near future.”
