Steven Randall is an interdisciplinary artist working in sculpture, photography and installation. Within a culture of feverish consumption and retinal impatience his work examines the relationship between consumer, commodity, and transformation.

He has shown in various exhibitions at The Page Bond Gallery (VA), The Anderson Gallery (VA), The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (VA), The Gem Gallery (NY), The Central Academy of Fine Arts (Beijing), The Albright-Knox Art Gallery (NY), and the Fosdick-Nelson Gallery (NY). Honors include the 2016 Toby Devin Lewis Fellowship Award, a 2016 Sculpture Fellowship through the Virginia Commission for the Arts, a Visiting Artist Grant through the Institute for Electronic Arts and an Advanced Environmental Art Grant through Collaborative Concepts in New York.

Steven recently received his MFA in Sculpture + Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University and will be embarking on residencies in New Mexico, New York, and Wexford Ireland this year.

This event is free and open to the NMSU community and the public.
It is sponsored by the NMSU Department of Art and is paid for by the Lilian Steinman Visiting Artist Fund.
