Garth Johnson

Visiting Artist and Scholar Lecture Series:

Garth Johnson is a studio artist, writer, curator and educator who has disseminated his ideas about craft in the form of ceramics objects, books, articles and exhibitions. He is the author of 1000 Ideas for Creative Reuse (2009), and runs the weblog “Extreme Craft.” He has written for several print publications, including Craft and Fiberarts, and has had his work included in Ceramics Monthly, American Craft, Metropolis and The Artist’s Magazine. He contributed to the publications Craftivity (2006), Handmade Nation (2008) and World of Geek Craft (2011). He was appointed as the Curator of Ceramics at the ASU Art Museum in 2014.
