Biography

About

Jasmine Herrera, a native New Mexican, is the Art Museum Coordinator for the New Mexico State University Art Museum in Las Cruces, NM. She has managed 35+ contemporary art exhibitions for the UAM, including the NEA-supported GEOMAGIC: Art, Science and the Zuhl Collection, as well as the Wendy Red Star: The Maniacs (We’re Not The Best, But We’re Better Than The Rest). Herrera previously worked for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, NM in the Art and Leadership Program, and she offers her extensive experience in visual art management and outreach to the UAM’s community programs, long-term planning, exhibition logistics and preparation, and grant writing. Herrera also currently serves as a board member of the Friends of the UAM donor organization. She earned a BA in Art History from NMSU in 2013.
