The Museum of Outdoor Arts (MOA) headquartered in Englewood, CO announces its fourth annual Design and Build Competition, open to any U.S. based undergraduate or graduate student who is enrolled in a creative field of study.
This year’s theme is “Sanctuary Continental” and submissions should address the challenge of designing a conceptual sanctuary / pavilion like structure for one of the seven continents of the world, primarily utilizing local materials. Contestants must design an installation, public art work, architecture, landscape architecture or other form of structure. Entries will be reviewed by the MOA Board of Trustees, Executive Staff and a Guest Panelist.
Competition Prizes
1st place team- $5,000 + winning entry to be archived & featured on competition website
2nd place team- $2,500 + winning entry to be archived & featured on competition website
3rd place team- $1,000 + winning entry to be archived & featured on competition website
In addition there will be a Guest Panelist Honorable Mention prize of $500.
The design proposal registration portal is now open and the deadline to submit is July 10, 2022.
