Visiting Artist Lecture Series: Michele Abeles

Michele Abeles received an MFA in photography from Yale University. Her work will be on view at the 12th Biennale de Lyon and the Kunsthalle Fridericianum, Kassel and has been featured in exhibitions includes: Sculpture Center; White Columns; and MoMA PS1, in New York.

Michele Abele’s workshop will address image improvisation and collage in relation to contemporary art practice. Participants should bring a camera or imaging device, as well as found images for use in the workshop. Additionally, participants should watch Ranier Maria Fassbinder’s The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant in preparation for the workshop.
