About

College Assistant Professor

For the last six years, Professor Cole-Dorn has been primarily teaching foundation courses in drawing, painting and two-dimensional design. The curriculum for these courses emphasizes the importance of working from observation as a vehicle for learning composition and technique. Professor Cole-Dorn believes doing so allows for the development of skills through active seeing while promoting discovery in the creative process and a heightened awareness of what is being observed.
