The General Education courses that I teach deal primarily with the appreciation of art, so my approach to each class reflects my interests and vast travel experiences. I focus on art and the different roles it has played throughout history, multicultural expressions of art, and developing a formal language with which to discuss art. My honors classes, likewise, have grown to reflect my interests. For example, the "Encounters with Art" course looks at thematic issues, such as expressions of politics, religion, race and gender, or censorship, while "Art and Mythology" looks at Classical Mythology and the various forms it has taken in the visual record of the past and present.
