Lisa M. Brain has been working for New Mexico State University since December, 2002. She currently holds the position of Administrative Assistant for the Department of Art. Lisa’s job duties consist of processing and reconciling all budget items, working closely with Arts & Sciences Dean’s office, human resource liaison, scheduling visiting artists traveling arrangements, and placing supply orders for the office.
On a personal note, Lisa’s passion does not lie in the visual arts, but in music. She took piano lessons in her younger years and currently teaches piano during her time away from work. Lisa has an associate’s degree from Doña Ana Community College in Business Office Technology. She is working on a business degree at NMSU with an emphasis in management. After graduating she plans on taking music classes to improve on her music abilities so she can teach her students more in-depth theory.
For Lisa, the office environment is fulfilling in many ways, such as, working with faculty members, assisting students and interacting with members of the community.
