In this 3-day workshop, we will make a thorough examination into all aspects of the powerful and affordable digital photography program. We will address the intricacies of digital asset management, image enhancement, and available publishing methods. Students will become familiar with the organizational system, including creating catalogues, importing, viewing, and rating photographs, and using collection and grouping tools. We will emphasize precise control of exposure and color through various global and local enhancements, and compare methods for retouching and spotting. Students will learn how to make and utilize custom presets, and will gain a complete understanding of strategies for image-enhancement in Lightroom, as well as what editing needs are best served in Photoshop. We will spend time with various methods for publishing and sharing images, covering the optimal workflows for books, slideshows, web and print output. Regardless of your level of familiarity with Lightroom, this course will help to improve your image-editing efficiency and streamline your creative workflow.
