We are happy to welcome Valerie Amendola as the new Assistant to the University Art Gallery. Valerie is a Las Cruces native who has earned both of her degrees from NMSU, including a BA in Anthropology (2010) and an MA in Cultural Anthropology and Museum Studies (2013). She served as Museum Assistant, Public Programs Coordinator and Program Specialist at the University Museum in Kent Hall during her graduate studies, and brings a wealth of experience to our department. She is particularly interested in learning more about collections management, administrative skills and outreach through education. Stop by the UAG and say “hello” to the newest member of our staff!
